Start of construction for the new computing centre on the H?nggerberg

Work on the new computing centre on the H?nggerberg (HRZ) is progressing. The foundation stone was laid last Friday, marking the start of construction. ETH Zurich is thus taking a further step towards a modern and energy-efficient IT infrastructure.

Over the past few months, ETH Zurich has been improving the historical area around the ETH observatory to make it a more attractive place to socialise and find peace and quiet. Other projects, such as the current redevelopment of the main building forecourt, will improve the overall quality of the exterior spaces in the university district.

ETH Zurich moving into new Gloriarank building later than planned
With its new building on the Gloriarank site (GLC), ETH Zurich is creating a modern development and laboratory building for Health Sciences and Technology at its Zentrum campus. The site will house 13 professorships from the HEST and ITET departments. But with building works delayed, they will have to wait a little longer. ETH expects operations to begin there in 2022.
Main building forecourt and garage to become more open and barrier-free

Construction work on the main building will be underway from June 2021. The parking garage under the forecourt will be upgraded with a modern infrastructure and made more open and accessible. The main building forecourt will be getting a makeover. The layout on the ground will be more versatile and offer barrier-free access.
Ground-breaking ceremony HIF renovation and extension

Yesterday, ETH Zurich and the team of architects, building planners and construction managers involved in the project attended the ground-breaking ceremony for the HIF renovation and extension project at 中国足球彩票 H?nggerberg. The event marks the beginning of the upgrade and renovation project at one of the largest building complexes on the campus. It will also be the home of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering.
